We're ALIVE!!!

We are alive and getting well. Poop has been sick for the last 3 weeks. She is on the mend. We are hoping we wont have to go to the doctor at all next week. She has had strep, the croup and now suffering with allergies. WE are hoping the allergy thing only last another week or two.

As for Scott, he bought a new car. He got a little white Chevy (go figure) HHR. It has the Fun & Sun package on it, which means "special" rims and a sun roof. It is getting 28 miles to the gallon!!! We traded in my black truck on it. We are hoping that his company gets a job building a hotel in Galt. Scott will be the foreman on the job if they get it.

Me, I have been BUSY! I got to go work for a day at our Salinas store a few weeks ago. I had a great time. I finished the Bordello quilt and my friend's mom loves it. We went to Solvang last weekend. We got to go to the Seven Sisters Quilt Show at the Madonna Inn. We also got to have dinner with Gina and Walt at the Madonna. What a wonderful night, the highlight of my trip! Thanks G! I have finished a quilt for the new store in Manteca and currently working on a purse for her. I have also finished the quilt I started from my scraps and will be mailing it on Monday. I still need to get the last boarder on a quilt to take to a quilting class this Sunday. I think more has happened in the last few weeks but I just can't remember.

Now some exciting news! The NEW quilt store in Manteca will be opening this coming Tuesday, May 6th at 10 am. The store is named Ladybug Quilts. The address is on North Main but to get to the store you turn EAST on Landcaster and then in to the quilt shop parking lot. It is in the stripe of shops located behind the Strawhat Pizza. Stop by and say "HI" to Jennifer.

I came home from work today and to my surprise there is a HUGE U-haul in my neighbors yard! I am so excited!!! You know what neighbor I am talking about, not Maxine. I want to offer to help load it for them. Anyone else want to help me out???

I really am hoping this means they are leaving. I haven't seen them put anything in it yet so keep your fingers cross. Maybe I could get a nice little old couple next.

Ahhh Thursday!

Almost the weekend! Well it is my weekend. I got to spend my morning with Poop and my niece Allison. Which in turns means I got to spend my afternoon cleaning the living room.

Josh, my brother in law, had knee surgery this morning. No worries, he is home now and all went well. So Allison brought donuts to my house along with some books to hang out. The girls had a blast. They unloaded the dresser and armoir of ALL clothing. Bounced in the crib. Fed Jack TONS of cookies, he still has breakfast waiting. Had a popcorn fight in Scott's living room. And last watched tons of Dora, Diego, and Sponge Bob.

I on the other hand didn't have as much fun. I did dishes, started dinner, have laundry in progress and cleared the air hockey table. I am hoping to sew and papercraft when Scott gets home. I have a few swaps I would like to finish and mail tomorrow.

Last and REALLY not least HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM!!! I hope you have a wonderful birthday and enjoy your movie tomorrow.

So Much Going On!

Man where do I start???

Can you believe 25% of the year is gone? So I look back at my New Year Goals and see how I am doing. Not bad if I say so myself. I have complete 5 UFO's, I want 15 by the end of the year. We have been cooking 3-4 nights a week, goal was 3 nights. There is now a 3 foot wide path from the laundry room to the man door and to the big garage door, maybe it will be cleaner by the end of the year. I don't see me parking in their though. I cleaned out the cupboard under the microwave, hasn't been touched since we moved in! I got rid of 75% of the junk we never used and organized the stuff I was keeping! I have been posting tons more pictures this year, even sometimes twice a week. For Easter I scrap booked for my nieces, now something for Poop. I am doing good!

We should all try to help others, so click on this link test your vocabulary and donate some rice!

I have started an additional blog. That's right I will now have 2 blogs. The second one is called Scrap & Stash Elimination Project, the link is to the left as S.S.E.P. It is dedicated to projects that are made from 75% or more of my scraps and 25% stuff from my stash. This is just excess stuff I have on hand.I have too much and need to start using it up! I will be updating this blog two times a month, the first and fifteenth of each month. It will have completed projects, ideas to help you eliminate your stuff, and much more. It will be Sewing and Paper Crafting stuff. Also if you would like to be a guest Blogger let me know.

As you know my quilt store, R. Lily Stem, closed last month. I usually do the mystery quilt their each year. This year I am able to do a mystery quilt but with Cabin Quilters in Oakdale. It is a fun shop located right on Hwy 120 in a log cabin. Stop in, look around and say hi to Marie. You'll be glad you did!

MM "KIds Speak"

Okay this weeks late topic is Kids say the darnedest things. Great mines not really talking.

Right now the one we have been stuck on is "P U Daddy P U." Now depending on who she is talking to the P U can change. The good thing is she knows when she is P U. The bad thing is, while out shopping, I asked "Delaney P U?" She said "No, Caca mom mom caca." First it wasn't that cute, second yes I am 2 mom's.

She also has a few phrases that she uses. Some of them are "Dude, Cool, Groovy,OH No!, Allll Riiight, and Whoa Dude." We are working on more but since she turned 2 three weeks ago we are doing good.
